***What is Mulberry Silk?
Mulberry Silk is 100% real silk. It is the most luxurious natural silk available, produced by the silkworms (Bombyx mori) that are fed exclusively with mulberry leaves. Due to its texture and lustre, in ancient era, it was originally only reserved to the Royals (in many Asian countries) for their own use and gifts to others.

***Benefits of Mulberry Silk
- 100% natural, odorless and hypoallergenic
- Retain moisture: the protein retained in the silk is called fibroin, which is rich in 18 amino acids. These amino acids bestow silk with its inherent resistance to dust mites, mold, and fungus, as well as its hypoallergenic properties and your hair and skin retain natural moisture. Regular cotton pillowcase dries out your skin as it is known for its absorbency.
- Prevent wrinkles/ Anti aging/ Anti hair frizz: silk is loved for its shiny and smooth surface. The frictional stimulation coefficient to the human body is the lowest among various fibres (only 7.4%) which can resist and prevent wrinkles. Sleeping with silk = good skin + gorgeous hair

***This sleep mask is 100% mulberry silk – 22mm on both sides
Mommes (mm) in Japanese is a unit traditionally used to measure the quality of the silk fabric. It is like thread counts in cotton quality.
Anything less than 17mm is considered light weight silk. 19mm silk has a thread count of 400. 22mm silk has a thread count of 600+. It has almost 20% more silk per square inch than 19mm does.
More threads = more durable = more expensive
When shopping for a mulberry silk products, do not just look at the price. Look for its quality. Sometimes, cheaper price tag comes with lower silk density.
